About

I'm Tayyeb, a Cyber Security student at Birmingham City University and a Cyber Security Analyst Intern at National Gas.

My interests sit at the intersection of cybersecurity, startups, and technology. I'm particularly interested in how security can enable organisations to build and scale confidently, whether that's within critical infrastructure, growing startups, or student-led initiatives.

Alongside my degree, I've spent much of my time creating opportunities for other students. I founded Unihack, a student-led hackathon organisation that brings together students, universities, and industry partners across the UK. Since launching, we've secured over £20,000 in sponsorships, delivered events across multiple universities, and helped students access internships, training, and industry connections.

I'm also the founder of Innovation Labs, a startup programme that helped student founders turn ideas into real ventures through mentoring, workshops, and pitching opportunities. More recently, I co-founded Zentic Health, a healthtech startup focused on improving access to healthcare for communities often overlooked by mainstream digital health products.

Outside of work and university, you'll usually find me organising events, exploring new places, watching football, or building the next side project that seemed like a good idea at the time.
